After not seeing or hearing about Tom Green for YEARS…
Why do I keep seeing Tom Green all over San Francisco?
strange.
- Excited about the new episode of glee tonight! (oh how i’ve missed you).
- I may have found a place & now i’m just playing the waiting game.
- One of my favorite people may be in town on Friday *fingers crossed*
- Did I mention how excited I am about glee?
- I’m tired of my roommate waking me up every morning at 4 am when she gets home. I’m starting to get hella pissed about it & might go off. I’ll try not to though… she makes me nervous. No but really, I will NEVER live with an undergrad again. My old soul and her not really developed sense of others don’t mesh well. I’m off it!
- I may go back to Betsey this upcoming summer for a graphic design internship *finger crossed*
- My graduate studies classes bore me to no end. 2 of my liberal arts classes I already had at USI and this classes simply don’t compare. Art school should just stick to art classes. My other liberal arts class, well I just don’t know. I have no freaking clue as to what i’m supposed to get out of this class. Still loving the design class though (like a said… art school should just do art school). Next semester I’m signed up for Art Direction, Copywriting, Account Planning and & Perspectives in Advertising <— I can not wait!
- I’m pretty sure i’m falling in LOVE with Photoshop & Illustrator. We’re kind of involved. InDesign- not so much.
Hello! I’m back!
I had my very first SF visitor. It was way too much fun and super exhausting! I got to do all of the fun SF things there are to do and spend time with one of my best friends! We went to the Wharf, Lombard St, Chinatown, Nob hill, haight, north beach, an antique arcade, checked out naval ships, partied a little too hard in the Castro, went to a crazy brunch, had an amazing halloween dressed as sailors, and rented bikes and rode across the golden gate bridge. It was such a relaxing ride… well… except for the whole riding across the bridge part. It was SUCH a beautiful view of the city, but while you’re riding and trying to inhale what you hope is fresh air, you suck in exhaust from all of the cars and trucks driving on the bridge. Other than that, it was amazing! We ended Mark’s visit by dressing up, getting sushi and heading to a swanky bar for the evening.
Only thing I’m now dreading is having to do all of these thing over and over and over again when everyone else comes to visit. One can only do the touristy stuff so many times.
- I’m in the process of looking at apts. I hope to find a place by the end of this weekend!! Ahhh! fingers crossed! I’m just ready to move out of campus housing and establishing myself in the city. I want my own neighborhood. :)
- School is going great! I’m constantly designing and trying to build up my skills! I want to be great at it. Hey that’s the only way to be.
- I got to get out of the city this past weekend by going to a Berkley game with my friend Michael. Besides the fact I got lost at the game for about an hour, I had a blast! It made me miss crazy college weekends (Little 5 etc.)
- My piece of shit camera broke AGAINNNNN! So, i’ll be photo-less until after thanksgiving. bleh. I’m hoping to get a new SLR soon!
- So, question! What’s the first thing you look for when you check someone out of the opposite sex? Lately, I’ve been obsessing about guys and what kind of jeans they’re wearing. I can noticed a guy and think he’s attractive, but if his jeans suck then i’m automatically turned off! What are non-sucky jeans you ask? Well, i’m not really sure. But I like jeans to fit a guy. If they’re too big then the guy just looks sloppy (to me, that is. For some girls that may be hot). So here I am. Stuck with this awkward guy jean fetish. blehh.

- On Friday, Kandice and I headed to Maxfield’s in The Palace Hotel. The drinks were HORRIBLE! Mine tasted like champagne mixed with whiskey. gag. So we decided to hit up our usual spot, The Clift Hotel, for a sophisticated evening of chit chat and people watching. Instead we were presented with drunkies galore! It’s so interesting to be in such a posh place and have drunk “ladies” dancing on the couches. Amazeballs. We then met up with Michael & friends and headed to the beach for the rest of the night/morning!
- Saturday I went indoor climbing with my friend Lindsay. It was located in the Presidio at Chrissy Field which means the view was AMAZING
we then walked over to Haight and had lunch. It was great! - Sunday Bayy (Britt) & I decided to head to Dolores Park for the day. we decided that it should be “College Day” meaning we start drinking early just like we did in undergrad. The park was beautiful and soooo chill. I LOVE it there!! We then headed out to Elbo Room for the evening and had an interesting time.
- Later, around 2:30 am, we got locked on Britt’s rooftop. One of her neighbors took the effort to walk up the stairs, close and lock the roof door knowing we were up there! JERKS! We were probably up there for an hour and a half :(
- As of right now I have 3 halloween costumes! At first I couldn’t think of anything to be! And now I can’t decided so I’m just gonna do all three!
- Mark is coming in town on Friday! AHH! I’m SOOO excited! It’s going to be epic! Also, it’ll be nice to have someone from home here visiting! All you other slackers need to get on it ;-)

- I was walking down the street with a friend yesterday on the way to a movie and noticed there were cops in the middle of the street. On one side of the street were Israelis holding huge Israeli flags and on the other were Palestinians holding huge Palestinian flags (probably 100 people on each side). They were of course screaming at each other from across the street. It was as if a mini war was about to breakout right there on Powell. My friend and I decided to walk through Union Square instead. How Michael put it, he didn’t “want to get hit when they started throwing rocks”. So, we walked through Union Square only to find loads of tents, people, and a stage featuring ten cheerleaders wearing afros, doing stunts and some guy singing “Jessie’s Girl”. It was like a bad trip & took us forever to get through it. Such an interesting city…
So last night went a lil something like this…
There were six of us. Jeet, Sarah, Kristin, Jesse, Michael and I all headed out to Castro for a night of drinking and crazy dancing. The drinking and the dancing = a success! Getting home… not so much. You know how your mama tells you not to get into the car with a stranger, let alone talk to them, well… let me explain…
It was around 2 am and the six of us were all standing at Castro & Market unsuccessfully trying to catch a cab home. After about twenty minutes of standing outside a black SUV stopped next to us and the person inside waved for us to get inside. Of course we said no and waved him away. The guy waited around for a few minutes and somehow magically convinced us that he’d safely take us home. We piled into the car with me in the passenger seat ( I would have to be the one in the front) and kristin laying across everyone in the back seat.
After driving for a bit he whipped out a police badge and assured us that we were safe since he was an “officer”. Everyone just kind of looked at each other because this guy didn’t look like an officer. He was a tall, skinny, gay asian guy with mostly jet black hair and a bleached blond patch on the right. His name was Keo. He kept asking me if I had fun at the strip club that evening (And I of course hadn’t been to any strip clubs). I had no idea what he was talking about and thought he was just making a joke. He kept saying “Bitch, I gave you $20’s to get to those strippers remember?” I was like “umm no”. After a while he got really quiet and told us we were all under arrest. We all awkwardly laughed for we knew there was no reason of why we would be arrested. He sat there not smiling (i don’t think he smiled the whole time) starring dead ahead. After Keo’s extended silence we stopped laughing. I believe Sarah threw in a witty mug shot joke and we all awkwardly smiled (the word awkward will be used a lot since there is really no other word for the situation other than awkward, fear, and paranoia). He told us that he works for Obama (yeah right) and that he had to buy his underwear while he was in town this past week. Then, Keo proceeded to tell us that his black husband beats him and he was getting a divorce after two years of marriage.
After repeatedly referring to Michael as “white boy” and accusing me of knowing what its like to be beaten by a black man (which I don’t) he asked if we wanted to go get food, his treat, because he was “bored”. No one said yes. We were terrified, knew we had made a mistake and just wanted to go home. I was halfway convinced that we were being kidnapped. He kept asking and we finally said yes, anything to keep Charles Manson… i mean Jeffery Dahmer… I mean Keo happy. He didn’t realize Kristin was laying across everyone in the back, and when he saw her head in Jeet’s lap he freaked out. ”Holy fucking shit, there’s a baby in the car!” he screamed as he swerved all over the street. We had to calm him down and assure him that the “baby” was just kristin. As we were nearing the diner where we were going to eat he said something along the lines of “Don’t worry guys, it’s not like i’m going to kill you”. We, of course, all look at each other. TERRIFIED. I could even hear Jesse’s silent “EEP!” in the backseat. We made a turn and Keo proceeded to re-inform us that he wasn’t going to murder us. ”Yeah, you keep saying that…” said Sarah. I turned around and made wide eye contact with Jeet. We knew we were in a fucked up situation. I was thinking maybe he was just some sick psycho who liked to feed his victims before he killed them.
To make this extremely long story shorter. Keo parked in the basement of a parking garage and we again thought we were goners. I could see Jesse looking for an exit for where he could run. We were grateful when we got to the diner (ya know just because we were in public and there were lots of ppl around). Once he went outside for a smoke, everyone told me that I had to play along as if I were at the strip club with him, so he didn’t freak out and murder us. I agreed to play along. Keo not only paid for all of our meals, but managed to cuss out our first server (yes the 1st because we of course had to get a second). When he offered to give us a ride home we said HELL NO and he made Jeet stay and talk to him. We called Jeet 10 min. later to make sure he was still alive.
Only in San Francisco.
